Betfair Poker was established in 2001 after the enormous success of their sports betting exchange program. Since then Betfair has been growing at a fast rate. Betfair uses it’s own custom build software and does not operate on a network, hence the fairly low traffic numbers. In 2007 the software was completely revamped which drastically improved the previously average software. Players may find Betfair’s lobby a little hard to get used to, but once you have you’ll find yourself finding the tables in seconds.

Betfair poker tournaments attract far more players then their cash games, so if your a tournament player you won’t have any problems with Betfair’s traffic levels.
